Will the libertarian party become a new major party in the U.S? in Politics
With the nonsensical parties you call the Democratic and Republican parties losing their minds and making the U.S a laughingstock, many politcations have left from both parties to the Libertarian Party. If this continues will the party over take the Democratic or Republican party?

Will the Libertarian Party become a new major party?
Will considering how powerful the two parties have become in the past two decades or so, I really don't see a third party coming into the picture any time soon in American politics. That, however, doesn't mean I wouldn't support a third party coming into power, I believe a third party would be an excellent thing for the United States. This, however, is beside the point considering the topic of this debate, we're here to argue if the libertarian party could come to power and what current party would be replaced not whether we support third parties or not. With that in mind, I believe it's rather clear which party would be replaced, its obviously the Republican Party. The political theory that is libertarianism is extremely similar to the contemporary conservativism the Republican Party is practicing, compare that to the progressive politics that the Democrats are attempting, its clear what side of the spectrum libertarianism falls on. With that in mind, the conservatives are extremely more likely to start siding with libertarians and libertarian politicians once they see the problems with their mainstream party, this however does not mean the Democratic Party doesn't have problems of their own, I might be a tad liberal but I'm not blind. Back to what I was saying though, its only with these new supports and proponents for libertarianism and its ideas, would a third party coming to power be possible.
The Libertarian Party in the US is libertarian in little else than by name, unfortunately. A lot of the policies they are proposing, especially social ones, are pretty statist and traditionalist, and in many regards they are simply a less mainstream version of the Republican Party. The reason Democrats and Republicans dominate the US political landscape is not just because they have been there for the longest time and have managed to establish themselves, but also because their opponents do not have very solid platforms to offer:
Libertarian Party is a smaller version of the Republican Party and, hence, will always be second to it. Green Party is a bunch of clueless hippies with a very anti-science platform, at which even the most socialist Democrats cringe. Communist and Socialist Parties are remnants of (failed) Soviet attempts to invade the American political landscape, and have little value beside that. Constitution Party is very young and small, and it is not yet clear if they can offer anything of value aside from loud slogans.
Parties by their very nature are corrupt and corporate, so I would not expect anything reasonable to emerge from them. All parties in the world have very deep flaws, and GOP and DNC actually do not look that bad in comparison to what we can see almost anywhere else. Look at any of the European political landscapes - it is a playground of full-on socialists and nationalists, with rarely anything sensible in between other than attempts to cater to both groups. The only significant political party in the world that even remotely propagates my views is Singapore's People's Action Party - but their general political system is very authoritarian, so it is hardly a viable choice. And even that party is slowly condescending into the world of corruption; has been ever since its founder, a man with the heart of steel, passed away.
What I think is a more likely scenario for the US is emergence of a new, loose party, soon after the electronic currencies make the governmental control over the economy futile and a new model will beg to be built - and that party is very likely to exhibit highly libertarian values, and to dominate the landscape. Or the two leading parties alternatively will adjust their platforms to better fit the demands of people in the new, true free market.
money in politics will prevent third party anyone/ anything to be successful. And saying the libertarian party is likely I’d like saying the Green Party is likely as well.

Why don't you run to be the next POTUS Zombieguy1987?
Become the POTUS, and let's see how you manage the budget, the House, the Senate, and the White House?
Let's see how you manage the issues with the southern border? And how your conversations go with President of Mexico?
Let's see how you talk to Putin, or the leader of North Korea, the leaders of China, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Syria?
Let's see what your strategies are for ISIS?
You could mull it over, and use this forum to make the announcement that you are hypothetically planning to run and campaign to become the next POTUS of United States?
Because it would be fascinating to see you campaign against the current POTUS?
What probable talking points might you use to create your campaigning speech with?
How are you going to make the United States of America better Zombieguy1987?

You can still get into politics, and not be the President, can't you?

No... There'd be zero point because religious bigotry (And SJW's if I realistically became a candidate)
Become the POTUS, and let's see how you manage the budget, the House, the Senate, and the White House?

Certainly not a wall to solve it. An even better (and cheaper option is to... just reform the legal system... I know, so shocking @TKDB)
And how your conversations go with President of Mexico? Just really explain the new legal system...
Let's see how you talk to Putin,
If he sends troops into the following: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Ukraine, Turkey or other border nations allied with NATO, expect nuclear hellfire
or the leader of North Korea,
Mess with South Korea and be cleaned off the map
the leaders of China,
End the trade war, and convince them to ditch North Korea
Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Syria?
None of those countries are important
Let's see what your strategies are for ISIS?
They're dead at this point...
